We are very proud of the highly professional and personable service Intro Personnel has provided to both job seekers and companies in North Staffordshire for the last 13 years. We are one of the highest rated recruitment agencies in the local area and this is because of all the hard work and dedication our team puts in each day.
This week is National Apprenticeship week and we thought as part of our “meet the team” it would be fitting to introduce you to Trudi Murray, Recruitment Assistant, who started her career with Intro Personnel on an apprenticeship scheme.
What made you go into Recruitment?
I was studying Business Studies at college and I knew that I wanted to carry on with my education but I didn’t want to study full time. I looked into apprenticeships and liked the idea of studying whilst getting workplace experience. One of the employers providing an apprenticeship scheme was Intro Personnel and Recruitment was a subject I enjoyed as part of my Business Studies course.
How has your apprenticeship helped you in your role?
As part of the apprenticeship you are allocated a Tutor who is there to provide support at your workplace and with your coursework. The units that I studied covered the theory of recruitment practices and it allowed me to put these into practice at the same time. This helped me to understand why we do things and then have hands on experience carrying these out.
What sets Intro Personnel apart from other recruitment agencies?
Our team is our major strength in terms of our experience and how we conduct ourselves. We treat people how we would want to be treated if we were looking for a job or if we were a business looking to recruit staff. The Intro team has over 50 years cumulative experience within recruitment and HR and we know the local job market inside and out. We have 2 customers in our job – candidates and clients – and not every agency thinks the same so it is really important to never lose sight of this. Being professional, honest and transparent with people is absolutely essential and we are very good at this. Our reviews on Google and Facebook are excellent and back this up.
As part of my apprenticeship I first did a Level 2 in Recruitment Resourcing, which consisted of 7 units. Each unit covered all aspects of resourcing candidates and this is an important part of my role to ensure that we are finding the right people for a position and that they are the right person for that companies culture, which fits in with Intro’s ethos of “Great Opportunities for Great People”.
I then did a Level 3 in Recruitment Consultancy and this gave me the opportunity to get involved in the business side of recruitment, building client relationships and the back office aspects of recruitment.
What do you like about working at Intro Personnel?
I enjoy building both client and candidate relationships and this forms a big part of my role. I like that Intro Personnel invest time to develop and grow their employees and this has given me the confidence to build relationships.
When you aren’t at Intro Personnel, what will we find you doing?
When I am not in the office, I enjoy traveling and seeing the world. I love to spend time with my family, friends, partner and my chihuahua. My hobby is pole fitness which I am also passionate about and aim to compete in competitions in the future. I look forward to going out for meals and cocktails at the weekend but I also treasure my cosy lazy weekends doing NOTHING 😊
