PRODUCT DESIGN ASSISTANT

£27K - £30K DOE 

THE ROLE

• Producing detailed drafts and designs using SolidWorks software
• Evolve designs into functional prototypes
• Engage in the learning process to refine and improve prototypes
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team during pre-production phases
• Apply gained knowledge to contribute to the efficiency of pre-production processes
• Assisting the Project Manager in preparations for client meetings
• Actively participate in meetings, providing technical insights when necessary
• Collaborate with the PM in preparing costings using Excel
• Utilise technical expertise to contribute to accurate and comprehensive cost estimations
• Support the PM in coding products within the ERP system
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOM) in the ERP system

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience of using SolidWorks software in a design related role
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• A good level of IT literacy to include MS Excel
• Sheetmetal experience would be considered advantageous but not essential
