Production Technician; Peterborough; permanent; £29,383.00 per annum

Hours of work:  7.00am – 16.00pm Monday to Thursday, 7.00am – 12.00pm Friday (39 hours per week)

A market-leading Manufacturer of High-Specification Industrial Chemicals is recruiting for a Production Technician to work at a customer’s manufacturing facility in the Peterborough area.

Summary of the Production Technician role

Often working with minimal supervision this is a ‘hands on’ customer support role carrying out fluid management duties within a manufacturing environment, following a maintenance schedule. Duties will involve;

• Manage and action all activities required of the ‘Lubrication Service’
• Apply and change lubricants and fluids to agreed planned maintenance schedules
• Condition monitoring and control of fluids and plant equipment, and reporting using our company in-house system
• Manage waste streams to safe disposal off-site
• Customer liaison and assisting in meetings
• Follow strictly practices and procedures laid down including 5s and Health & Safety

What’s needed for the Production Technician position

Applicants must have machine changeover / setting experience, or basic mechanical / maintenance experience gained within a manufacturing or production environment.  Excellent communication skills are also needed in this role and a forklift licence would be preferred but is not essential.
