Mechanical Maintenance Engineer; Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire; £47,000 Per Annum plus call-outs 

Hours of work: 8.00am to 17.30pm Monday to Friday, plus paid call-outs 

An international-market-leading, manufacturer of high-specification industrial fluids is recruiting. This company is enjoying continued busy times and are looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to strengthen their maintenance team.  

Summary of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role 

Preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, overhaul and breakdown maintenance of the company’s manufacturing machinery to enable the company to produce high quality products in a timely manner, including; 

• Schedule machine down-time with production in order to perform repairs or planned maintenance to equipment and secure necessary materials for the scheduled and unscheduled repairs. 

• Establish effective lines of communication, reporting and feedback with the Production management team and internal departments, to ensure prompt attention and resolution of conditions that impact the business. 

What’s needed for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position 

Applicants must; 

• Possess strong hands-on skills in mechanical disciplines such as fitting, dismantling/rebuilding, and parts replacement. 

• Possess a flexible and driven persona with the ability to communicate with your team and colleagues at all levels of the business. 

• Demonstrate a willingness to participate and contribute to any improvement schemes or investment projects through all areas of the business. 

Advantageous 

• Experience of Pumps, steam systems and Boilers. 
• Multi-skilled abilities with Mechanical bias, including Welding.
