This exciting opportunity involves leading the strategic direction and management of our clients’ rail division in the UK, by overseeing the sales, project management and marketing functions for the team.

SALES MANAGER (RAIL)
STOKE ON TRENT (2 DAYS WORKING FROM HOME OPTION) 
FULL TIME HOURS
PERMANENT
£60k PLUS BONUS PLUS COMPANY CAR

THE ROLE

• Lead and manage the UK Rail Division, including sales, after sales and marketing by adopting a global key account management approach
• Develop and implement strategies to develop and grow rail business in the UK, securing an increased share of the market
• Project manage key contracts, ensuring that customer/contractual requirements, timelines and quality standards are consistently achieved
• Account management of key contracts, ensuring accurate pricing, budget and stock control
• Work closely with the international HQ to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and co-ordination of projects/contracts
• Develop, grow and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders within the industry
• Represent the UK Rail Division at industry events and conferences

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Significant/proven experience of the rail and/or industrial battery industry
• Excellent project management skills, with experience of successfully delivering projects from inception to completion
• Proven experience of managing budgets, sales and interpreting market trends
• Experience of leading teams and managing staff resources
• Good communication skills across all media together with proven negotiating and influencing skills
• Good working knowledge of all Microsoft products, particularly Excel
