Our client is looking to strengthen their sales operation with the appointment of a Business Development Manager who has proven experience within the parcel carrier sector. This role will cover a UK wide territory.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (PARCELS)
FIELD BASED
PERMANENT
FULL TIME 9AM-5:30PM MON-FRI
UP TO £65K DOE + COMMISSION + CAR ALLOWANCE + BENEFITS
THE ROLE
• Generate leads and cold call prospective customers on a national basis.
• Create a sales pipeline and generate custom from said pipeline.
• Meet with clients face to face, over the phone or Teams and develop relationships.
• Understand the needs of clients and be able to effectively respond to them accordingly.
• Have a good understanding of the businesses' services and be able to advise others on them.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Previous experience of sales business development within the parcel carrying sector is required.
• An excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills for initial and ongoing communication with clients and business associates to build relationships.
• Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills.
• IT skills, including the use of spreadsheets.
• Decision-making skills and show of initiative.
• A full clean driving license as national travel will be required.
