INTRO PERSONNEL IS 10 YEARS OLD TODAY!

Today marks the 10th birthday of Intro Personnel!  We are really proud to have reached this landmark in what has been an ever changing decade.  The last 10 years have seen some significant changes since Rob and Stuart started the company from Stuart’s dining room! Since then, we have moved into a new office in Basford, expanded our team, set up Intro’s successful sister company Intro Personnel Permanent Recruitment, enjoyed significant year on year growth, passed the £1 million annual sales mark and then moved again into our new office on Hassell Street in Newcastle last October to name but a few highlights.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has played a part in this success, from our staff, wide client base and the candidates that we have worked with to find temporary and permanent job roles.

Despite the current global situation, we have a strong, robust business and are looking forward to the success that the next 10 years will bring.

The Perfect Team of Potters!

The Perfect Team of Potters!

As Rosa Holmes is crowned the 2020 Winner of The Great Pottery Throw Down, which is hosted and filmed in the heart of Stoke on Trent and to acknowledge Intro Personnel’s ability to identify great candidates, we thought it would be fun to recruit the perfect Pottery department! However, we may have missed someone, any suggestions are welcome, so please comment away…

Our Manager is Suzy Ware expertly assisted by her deputy Jack Potter, running the Sliphouse we have Simon Clay and Michael Mould, Fiona China and Grace Glaze are the steady hands in Lithographing whilst Sophie Saggers and Neil Bottom-Knocker keep everything moving in the factory. A vital member of the team is Steve Sparks our Maintenance Electrician, in the warehouse we’ll find Gareth Packmoor and last but by no means least, keeping everyone fed and watered, is Darren Tea in the canteen!

Do you know of anyone else who would be a useful addition to the team?…

Increased business confidence leads to rise in hiring staff!

Increased business confidence leads to rise in hiring staff!

The latest report by the REC (Recruitment Employment Confederation) shows that figures released in February by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show that the UK jobs market grew in the three months to December 2019.  The number of available jobs was 810,000, an increase of 7,000 which was the first quarterly increase for more than a year.  There was almost 33 million people in employment which is a new record and the employment rate grew to a high of 76.5%.  The unemployment figure remains at 3.8%, which is 0.2% lower than the same period last year.

The REC have also found that permanent hires are increasing as confidence in the economy rises again.  This could be attributed to the December election and the previous Brexit issues finally being resolved.

Intro Personnel continues to recruit for a wide range of both temporary and permanent vacancies, offering attractive opportunities to the diverse workforce of North Staffordshire and South Cheshire and we are pleased to see that business confidence is improving after an unsettling 2019.

Intro Personnel are proud to be a member of the REC and further reading can be found at – https://www.rec.uk.com/news-and-policy/press-releases/ons-labour-market-statistics-businesses-hiring-again-as-confidence-grows

Outstanding Performance Awards 2019

Outstanding Performance Awards 2019

Intro Personnel have again assessed the performance of our temporary workers throughout 2019.  This is an annual award and we are pleased to say that it has again been a challenge due to the high standard of candidates!  Having canvassed the opinion of our clients, we are pleased to announce that the winners of the awards were presented to Vanessa Mahmood (Production FLT Operative) and Natalie Sterling (Assembly Operative)

To help us make the decision for these awards we received the following feedback from our clients;

“Vanessa came to our company 2 years ago and has quickly made herself an integral part of the family.  She embodies all of our company values, always showing the appropriate respect to all of her teammates.  She is very well respected among her team and has helped to strengthen the bond between them all.”

Natalie, who has  only been with us for a short period of time, has settled in very quickly in her role and has become a valued member of the team.   She goes above and beyond in her role, assisting her work colleagues where ever needed and has a very strong work ethic.  Natalie, in our opinion, is a worthy candidate to be presented with this award.

Janette Pickford, our Temporary Recruitment Consultant, chose and presented the awards this week to both Vanessa and Natalie, who were delighted with the gifts of flowers and Gift Vouchers.

Janette and the team at Intro Personnel would like to take this opportunity to thank both Vanessa and Natalie for their consistent excellent work and commitment and we look forward to continuing to work with them in 2020.
