The REC reports that we approach 2013 with a positive outlook as recent surveys show that recruitment is expected to continue its slow growth throughout the new year. A recent survey of 600 employers predicted that employment would continue to grow with 99% of employers planning to increase or maintain their permanent staff levels throughout the year ahead. This also comes with positive news for temporary candidates as 88% of employers also said that they were looking to increase or maintain their temporary staff headcount for 2013. During the first quarter of next year there are also suggestions that the use of agency workers will increase by 30%! This shows that there are encouraging signs for the growth of jobs throughout 2013 as there is increasing evidence of employer confidence bouncing back.
