North Staffordshire Leads the way as Economic Studies report Strong Job Creation

A recent announcement from the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) has predicted that the UK economy will hit pre-recession peaks by this summer. They estimate that the overall size of the UK economy will overtake the peak level it was at, prior to the 2008 financial crisis.  They also predict that the domestic economy will see 2.8% growth during 2014, upgraded from an earlier prediction of 2.7% and they have also upgraded the economy’s growth forecast for 2015, from 2.4% to 2.5%.  The BCC Director, John Longworth, said that “our economy is gaining momentum; businesses across the UK are expanding and creating jobs”. A separate survey from accountants BDO strengthen the BCC report and suggests that strong growth is being helped by improved business optimism and improved hiring intentions, particularly in manufacturing.
