Manufacturing in the UK

Up to 200,000 jobs in the manufacturing sector could be returning to the UK throughout the next decade as outsourcing becomes more and more unattractive. The rising in costs and the regulations abroad, coupled with the advances in production technologies in the UK is expected to fundamentally change the manufacturing industry. This will mean that more will be manufactured in the UK and exported to other countries as opposed to the production taking place in factories abroad. Manufacturers from overseas could also set up in the UK and as a result of this more jobs will be created. Roughly 2.5m people are employed within the manufacturing sector, accounting for 10.5% of national economic output. This goes hand in hand with the recent news of the 0.3% growth in the economy in the first quarter of 2013.

In addition to other industry sectors, Intro Personnel have a wide range of clients within manufacturing and continue to recruit for jobs in Stoke On Trent such as Mechanical Manufacturing Engineers, Project Engineers, Manufacturing Based Customer Service Coordinators.  Other roles include Audit Seniors and Site Chemists.
