AN OPEN day is being held by a recruitment specialist to try to match job-seekers with a range of vacancies on offer.
Intro Personnel will be welcoming those looking for a new employment opportunity to its offices in Synchro House, Etruria Road, Basford, on July 11.
During the event, Intro will be holding 15-minute consultations with applicants to identify their job requirements and match them to the roles it currently has available.
Director Rob Hulse said: “We are recruiting for a number of permanent and temporary positions at the moment including quality engineers, sales engineers, IT assistants, telesales executives, employment law advisers and customer service advisers.
“We will be open from 8am until 7pm to cater for people who want to come and see us, but are working in the day. The service is completely free and confidential.”
According to the latest Reed Job Index, which is compiled using data from more than 10,000 employers, the jobs market is showing continued signs of recovery, with a 22 per cent year-on-year increase in available positions.
Among the sectors enjoying the most notable growth during June were transport and logistics and construction and property.
Across the UK, Scotland saw the biggest year-on-year increase in new job opportunities, while the West Midlands saw the fifth biggest rise in vacancies. Northern Ireland saw the strongest gains of any region during June.
Overall, the Reed Job Index now stands at 163, up from 138 in January 2013.
It is compiled through analysis of job advertisement trends and tracked against a baseline of 100 established in December 2009.
