HOSPICE HELP: Recruitment consultants Rob Hulse and Stuart Nicholson took on new jobs for a day to raise cash for charity. They put in a shift for Newcastle client Scientific and Technical gases (StG) and KMF (Precision Sheet Metal), and in return for their labour their pay packet went to the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust. Rob and Stuart, directors at Intro Personnel in Newcastle wanted to do something different to support the work of the children’s hospice. Rob worked in gas mixing and stock control at StG, in Speedwell Road.
Stuart was set a variety of tasks at KMF, including working on the paint line and in machine operation, metal finishing and assembly. He collected donations from workers as he toiled. The pair raised £313 for the Trentham Lakes hospice, whose director of fund-raising Melanie Williams said it was a great example of partnership working. She said: “They have shown how networking can enhance a business reputation and also boost morale.”
