KMF’s Young Engineer of The Year!
Intro Personnel are proud to be one of the official sponsors of leading local engineering company KMF’s Young Engineer of the Year 2013/2014 competition. Intro Personnel have developed a strong business relationship with KMF over the years and in addition to sponsoring this year’s event we have also been involved with the interviewing process at local High schools across the area to select team members for this extremely popular event.
This year, the itinerary for KMF’s Young Engineer of the Year competition will be for students to design, build and race Green powered Formula 24 kit cars. 16 local High schools are competing, which will involve teams of students putting in extra hours to design the body and components of the kit cars, assemble and build their own vehicles then compete on the race day, which will be held next June.
KMF has a successful and well-established apprenticeship strategy and believes that engaging with the local youth community is key to the future success of the business. The Young Engineer of the Year competition provides local school children with an exciting introduction into the world of engineering and Intro Personnel are proud to be working with KMF throughout this year’s event.
Last week the teams from each of the 16 competing schools spent the day at one of KMF’s production facilities working on the first-phase build of the vehicles, the day proved to be extremely popular with visits from the event sponsors and BBC Radio Stoke broadcasting from the site.
