The main purpose of this role is to organise and direct all activities relating to preparation of goods, warehousing, storage, receipt and dispatch of goods.

FULL TIME HOURS 8.45AM – 5PM MON-FRI

THE ROLE

• Ensuring that storage areas and movements remain fluid and operate safely
• Management of stores team, scheduling workload and providing support
• Liaising with senior stores operative to determine training needs of the stores team
• Managing and implementing change
• Key user for SAP and labelling systems
• Provide support and assistance to the Operations Planner with stock management, material replenishment and canning operation and achieving regulatory compliance
• Control of hazardous waste material, ensuing safe and proper disposal
• Control of warehouses and storage bays on site and offsite stock
• Investigate all Stores / yard area QHSE incidents/ near misses and use Root Cause Analysis to put corrective actions into place
• Safe use of FLTs and liaising with service provider
• Ensuring that Transport/ADR regulations are adhered to by the business
• Create/maintain all standard operating procedures and risk assessment
• Completing regular audits to ensure all quality policies, procedures and risk assessments are implemented to maintain compliance
• Managing third party transport contractors whilst on site

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Previous knowledge and experience in undertaking Root Cause Analysis advantageous
• Knowledge/Experience of ISO9001 or equivalent quality standard
• NEBOSH certified would be advantageous
• An IMDG/IATA qualification would be advantageous
• A current valid external Counterbalance FLT would be advantageous
• Able to communicate on all levels both internally and externally
• Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
• Strong IT proficiency with knowledge of business systems such as SAP preferred

Due to the location of the Warehousing Stores Controller role, it is advisable for interested applicants to possess their own transport as access to our client’s site is extremely limited via public transport.
