Purchasing Specialist; Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire; up to £35K basic salary plus benefits

An international-market-leading, manufacturer of high-specification fluids is recruiting. This company produces a range of high performance, premium products for a diverse and interesting range of industrial applications. They are enjoying continued busy times and are looking to recruit a Purchasing Specialist to strengthen their procurement & planning department.

The role of the Purchasing Specialist will involve;

• Daily management of stock for finished products, raw material, and items of packaging to meet customer and manufacturing requirements
• Analysis and interpretation of ERP / MRP information to react to changes in demand
• Working closely with other departments on the analysis of historical orders and forecasting future business levels to obtain purchasing intelligence and pricing information.
• Analysis of Supplier performance
• Day-to-day use of a range of software including advanced level of Excel

Applicants should be well organised with excellent attention to detail, sound IT skills with MS Office including Excel and a natural team player. Previous experience within materials management, procurement or purchasing is required. Knowledge of ERP or MRP databases would also be desirable.
