Our client is looking to recruit a Production Maintenance Engineer to support their Engineering Manager in the daily maintenance of their expanding production operation.
This role would be suitable for a recent time served apprentice looking for their next career move and offers the opportunity to develop into a Senior Maintenance position as part of succession planning.
MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
STOKE ON TRENT
FULL TIME HOURS
6.30AM – 5PM MON-THURS
5.30M – 1.30PM FRI
PERMANENT
UP TO £45K DEPENDANT ON EXPERIENCE
THE ROLE
- Involvement in a range of business improvement projects
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of various maintenance related issues
- Carrying out PPM’s on all site / plant equipment to minimise downtime
- Fault finding, Root Cause Analysis and diagnostics
- Assisting in installations & commission of new machinery
- Inspection and analysis of key production equipment
- Promotion of safe working practices and waste reduction
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- An apprenticeship within mechanical engineering would be highly desirable
- Experience of working as a Maintenance Engineer in an automated production environment, with particular knowledge of pneumatics
- Knowledge of Planned Preventative Maintenance and common process improvement practices within a manufacturing setting
- Experience of communicating with business members and also external contractors
Due to the location of our client and the 6.30am start time, it is advisable that applicants have access to their own transport.
