Field Service Technician; Home-Based covering the North of England and Scotland to include Gateshead, Sunderland and surrounding areas of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, £32K Plus Car Allowance

Our client produces a range of high performance, specialist chemicals for a diverse and interesting range of industrial applications. The company is recognised as one of the world’s principal suppliers to manufacturing industries including Aerospace, Automotive, Energy, Food, Paper and Steel and have their UK headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent. As a value-added service, the company also offers their customers on-site expertise in the management and maintenance of their product range.

The responsibilities of the Field Service Technician role will be to;

• Provide on-site product management at our customer facilities
• Deliver equipment condition monitoring services
• Assist with small engineering projects associated with fluids handling e.g. oil storage, pipework, pump installations etc.
• Assist with lubrication plant surveys, product trials and machine deep clean outs.
• Provide service visits and cover at various other customer locations for the ‘Fluid Management’ operations

Those applying to the Field Service Technician vacancy should have a technical level of experience gained from a manufacturing or engineering environment and be familiar with responsibilities such as; machine set-ups, batch changeovers and first line maintenance.

Applicants should also be prepared to travel and spend periods away from home during the working week, regular overnight stays will also be required within this role. Flexible start and finish times depending on customer requirements and location.
