Credit Controller; Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire; from £14.30 per hour depending upon experience
Up to 30 hrs per week, flexibility re: working hours.
One of North Staffordshire's leading engineering organisations is recruiting. The company is enjoying growth and expansion in multiple sectors and can offer a secure environment to employees with commitment and ambition.
They are currently looking to strengthen their finance team with the appointment of a part-time Credit Controller. The role will involve;
- Working 30hrs per week with flexibility regarding working hours
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure compliance with agreed credit terms
- Posting of all incoming receipts ensuring all payments posted as per remittance
- Proactively chase overdue payments via email, phone or written communication
- Assess and approve new credit applications based on company policies
- Review customer credit limits to minimise financial risks
- Prepare and distribute regular aged debt reports for management.
- Investigate and resolve invoice queries or disputes in a timely manner.
- Ensure all disputes are logged and tracked to closure.
Experience / Skills required for the Credit Controller role
Previous experience of working as a Credit Controller essential with a strong understanding of credit control processes.
Good numerical and IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments.
Self-motivated with the ability to use initiative to ensure tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
