Description

The purpose of this role is to analyse and control the financial performance of the Supply Chain function and to create robust and innovative product forecasts to maintain ‘On Time in Full’ (OTIF) Key Performance Indicators.

BUSINESS ANALYST (SUPPLY CHAIN)
STOKE ON TRENT AREA
FULL TIME
PERMANENT
£30-£40K DOE

Duties will include the following:

  • Contributing to the development of the Supply Chain Strategy to help ensure cost effective and consistent sourcing performance
  • Analysis of financials for the Procurement and Supply Chain function, including product costs, supplier rebates and raw material price tracking
  • Analysing sales trends and stock profiles to provide annual product forecasts to predict supply and operational requirements
  • Monitoring weekly actual v forecast; making recommendations to the supply chain team in terms of procurement actions
  • Making recommendations and agreeing purchase strategy to support retailer promotional activity
  • Compiling and managing customer price books, retail and trade accounts
  • Investigating and recommending on “make” or “buy” production activities
  • Analysis of economic changes and profitability impacts
  • Maximising Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) opportunities, supporting discussion regarding commercial terms, contracts and rebate terms
  • Working closely with the commercial and new business functions to ensure financial information is accurate
  • Creating and maintaining a variety of data trackers including key projects, seasonal sales, promotions and range reviews
  • As a key member of the New Product Development team, developing business plans and execution strategy of the new products.

Candidates must have the following experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent Professional Qualification
  • Candidates may have worked in a Finance, Cost Accountant role or similar
  • Experience of sales forecasting models would be advantageous
  • Experience of working in a supply chain/ FMCG, manufacturing environment would be beneficial
  • Experience of working with SAP /MRP and confident with MS Office suite
  • Experience of managing a team would be desirable
