BUSINESS ANALYST
LEEK AREA

FULL TIME HOURS 8.45AM – 5PM MON-FRI
PERMANENT
£25K - £28K DOE PLUS EXCELLENT BENEFITS

THE ROLE

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs
  • Analysing existing business processes and recommending process improvements
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery
  • Facilitating organisational change by assessing the impact of project implementations
  • Identifying project risks and developing risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborating with testing teams to define test plans, ensuring the quality of deliverables
  • Continuous improvement to enhance business processes and achieve project goals
  • Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various systems and databases
  • Apply statistical analysis and data mining techniques to identify trends and patterns
  • Develop predictive models to forecast production outcomes and quality control measures
  • Identify areas for process improvement and optimisation by analysing manufacturing data
  • Conduct root cause analysis and propose data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement process changes and monitor their impact
  • Continuously evaluate and refine data models and algorithms to improve effectiveness
  • Implement data governance practices to ensure compliance

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is required
  • Previous experience in data analytics, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical industry setting, is advantageous
  • Hands-on experience with data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Experience with data visualisation and dashboarding tools would be desirable
  • Proficiency in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualisation tools such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Solid understanding of statistical modelling techniques and machine learning algorithms
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Familiarity with data governance, data privacy, and compliance practices

Due to the location of the Business Analyst role, it is advisable for interested applicants to possess their own transport as access to our client’s site is extremely limited via public transport.
