ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
LEEK AREA
FULL TIME HOURS MONDAY TO FRIDAY
PERMANENT
£25K-£28K DOE PLUS FULL STUDY SUPPORT
THE ROLE
• Process accounts payables ledger and vendor invoices, ensuring invoices are cleared within the given deadline
• Interacting with vendors and undertaking supplier statement reconciliations.
• Processing bank transactions
• Dealing with all general enquiries from both internal and external sources.
• Identifying issues that are causing delays in the process and work with the wider business to improve going forward
• Providing Sales Ledger and banking cover as required
• Provide support on Costing & BOM Maintenance
• Track material consumptions, production efficiency and perform stock counting and reconciliation
• Providing support on Product/Customer Margin Reporting and analysis
• Production Variance Investigation
• Provide support for Finance Month End activities
• Participate in business Improvement Projects
• Adhoc tasks to support the wider Finance team as required to ensure smooth running of the department
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• AAT qualified or in the initial stages of pursuing CIMA or ACCA
• Energetic, willing to learn and take initiatives
• Knowledge of MS Office packages, including MS Excel
• Excellent numeracy and communication skills
Due to the location of our client, it is advisable for interested applicants to possess their own transport as access to the site is extremely limited via public transport.
