Intro Personnel Joins the REC’s Member Panel to Provide Monthly Market Intelligence!
Intro Personnel are pleased to announce that our organisation has been invited by the leading governing body for the recruitment industry, the REC, to join it’s panel of members who provide monthly market intelligence that is used to produce the REC’s newsletter “Report on Jobs”. We have been selected by the REC and will now join a panel of approximately 480 recruitment businesses throughout the UK who are trusted to provide regular data to measure the performance of the UK’s job market.
The Report on Jobs is a publication produced by Markit on a monthly basis and is sponsored by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and KPMG LLP. The report provides the most up-to-date monthly picture of UK recruitment, employment, staff availability and employee earnings trends available. As a panel member Intro Personnel will receive immediate access to this information as it is published, which will enable us and our customers to keep up-to-date with the fluid UK job market and it’s regional trends.
The report for January explained that vacancies rose at a sharp and accelerated rate during the first month of 2014, with the strongest growth seen since May 1998 and as the demand for staff rises, candidate availability decreased. Salaries continued to increase in January and the rate of unemployment fell to its lowest since March 2009. The Engineering sector reported the highest demand for staff in January, closely followed by the Construction industry. Of particular interest locally, the January report explained that candidate availability with the permanent and temporary candidate markets is dropping at fastest rates within the Midlands.
